Metallica drummer 'Lars Ulrich retires after 36 years'

Lars Ulrich, who co-founded Metallica back in 1981, has reportedly retired from the band at the age of 53.

Lady Gaga debuts new song The Cure at Coachella 2017 and it’s being released very soonUlrich, who was the band’s drummer for over thirty years, is reported to have left the band with immediate effect saying ‘being a musician just isn’t fun anymore,’ according to The Metal Den.

The sad news for Metallica fans will be made worse by the fact that there has been no word yet on who is going to replace the drummer for the band’s upcoming US tour which begins in May.

Representatives for Metallica declined to comment.
