Love Island’s Olivia Attwood said that Katie Price was ‘one of’ the reason herself and co-star Chris Hughes split.

The 26-year-old, who met her now-ex Chris on the ITV dating show told the Loose Women panel today ‘the rumours are unfortunately true.’

‘We have split this time,’ she explained on Friday’s show.

When asked by the ladies on the show for the cause of their break-up she clammed up when asked if Katie Price had anything to do with it.

She answered: ‘I’ve obviously taken it really hard because I feel like I’ve stood by Chris through all sorts of things that, to me, were a lot harder to swallow than a tweet would be. [Rumours of texts to Katie Price] being one of, for example.’

Glamour model Katie and Love Island star Chris have been locked in a bitter feud since the summer of 2017.

It happened after Katie denied sending him flirty messages, only for Chris to share the apparently one sided exchange on social media.

The feud constantly made headlines as both parties fought over who was telling the truth.

She told the hosts on the Friday show that Chris opened up about the ‘horrendous’ moment Chris asked her to film their break-up for their new reality TV show.

‘He was on the phone for a couple of minutes,’ she said speaking of the moment he told her he had already communicated with production about their final moments as a couple.

‘It was horrendous to live it,’ she said before admitting that she has been crying ‘for three days straight.’

The couple then reportedly had heir ITVBe spin-off reality show cut short due to ‘excessive arguing’ but Olivia clarified that the ‘the show has come to a natural end.’

‘We never end landed on a set of episodes,’ she said dispelling reports that the show had been halved from six episodes to three.

An ITV spokesman told Metro.co.uk: ‘We never confirmed a set number of episodes but it was felt that, further to recent developments in their relationship, the series had reached a natural end point.’

Chris also sent a letter to the show which was read to Olivia. It read:

Chris Hughes letter to Olivia Attwood

‘I never wanted this playing out in public but circumstances have forced us so here we are.

This is a message for Olivia, my heart is genuinely broken. What you say on Loose Women is completely fine, you should do whatever you feel is best.

I only have one thing to say which is you are one of the most special, beautiful people I have ever met. The experience that we have and have had together and the memories will stay with me forever. I wish nothing but the best for you.

Yours always, Chris.

Olivia admitted that reading host Stacey Solomon read out the letter left her with ‘mixed-emotions.’

‘One hand it’s like you’re amazing, but I don’t… it’s a bit confusing. Chris has always been good at the lovey dovey stuff of emotion across the board, affection, I feel like I’m not so much,’ she admitted. ‘I didn’t feel like I was the most special… I’m sure at times he didn’t think he was the most special boy.We definitely let each other down at points.’

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30 pm
